WAY TO GO DANA!!!

Congrats to my sister DANA , she won first place in the Semi final Karaoke contest last night. sometime in September she will be trying for the 10,000 grand prize. There was some really good competition last night, so I am sure it will be a tough one in September. BUT IF HAVE GREAT CONFIDENCE IN HER.

Steve's New Hobby!

Steve has a new hobby, like he has time for a hobby, other than fishiing and hunting. He got the idea of making Martin Bird Houses from his long time friend Jesse. Jesse has several of them in his yard that he made, and has lots of Martins.

These Martin Houses are made from Gourds. Steve finished ours last night , so I went out this morning and took a couple of pictures. I thnk they are pretty neat, we are going to make another one. We are putting them out in the back yard so that we can watch them through our picture window. Of course right now Kirtis has our pictrure window cover up with a projector screen. SOOOO I guess we will be watching them from the breakfast area windows.
Martins are suppose to eat misquitos, WE WILL SEE> First we have to have some Martins.

Buying Flip Flops relieve stress

Ok , stressful day at work, so I take a late lunch at 2.00, eat way to much at Chinese Place , and now feeling the stress from work and the guilt from eating sooooooooooooo much, I go to Wall Mart and buy some flip flops. That is about the only shoe that I wear during the summer and I figured , OK they just came out with all kinds better get them while supply last. So many to pick from....but I managed to find about 5 pairs. Oh! and I could have found many more, but you got to stop some where. Ashley and I wear the same size shoe now, so we get to share in all our colors of flip flops.
Ok, lunch hour over, time to get back at it.

Storms make for a busy work day!

Several storms moved through last night in our Insurance coverage area, so it is a busy day ! I usually post the money, but today I am helping out the claims department (printing deck sheets on each policy and pulling the policy to go with them. It isnt a difficult job at all, I just hate when one of the policies is out of file, I HATE SEARCHING .

Speaking of the storm, while I was on my way home yesterday after work, I was headed to my moms to pick up Ashley and the wind was picking up , and since I drive a Honda Civic, it was pushing me around on the road a little bit. Anyway, I looked up to see some small limbs and branches flying around and all of a sudden a good size of plywood went flying in front of my car, I just misseed it, or should I say it just missed me. Kinda scared me. There are two routs to get to mom and dads, i Decided to take the route that I normally do not take, it goes by the church, and I thought that if anyone was there using it for shelter, that I might stop, even thought my mom and dad migtht already be there. No one was at the church so I headed on to moms, to find them standing on the front porch, they had been watching down toward the way I usually come in, because there was about 20 pieces of tin blowing all over, it came from the old Stephens Store building. Some of it had landed across a highline wire, and was making some sparks. (SURE WAS GLAD I WENT THE OTHER DIRECTION OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE TIN).
After the wind calmed I headed on the the house, taking the direction of the damage, just wanted to see what all it did. Tin was everywhere, and in several yard across from the store.
After arriving at home to tell my story, Steve was there with his own sotry, seems that he and one of his buddies were coming home about that time too, and had dodged a dead tree that fell across the road just about the time they were coming through. Then Kirtis called, and he was at my sisters house in Paragould, he was just calling to let us know that it was storming there...HA!

Well, I need to close, I am on phone duty for an hour, I dread it, because the phone has been ringing all morning.

Almost Friday!

Well It is almost Friday, and I am so glad. Work has been busy this week, and seems like things at the house have been that way too. Although I really havent gotten alot done at the house this week. The laundry needs despertly to be put away, and believe it or not I still have my Christmas lights up out side. My mom is really worried about the lights, I know this because she came for a visit the othe day and the first thing that she said as she entered my house was Paula if you leave your Christmas lights up untill July you just might be a RED NECK.
Sooooo my agenda is to get the lights down this weekend, of course that is after I spend most of the day out shopping with my friends on Saturday, and then I teach Sunday School on Sunday morning and then there is church, Dinner at moms, or out to eat , whichever. Maybe there will be time Sunday late. HA! more than likely it will not get done. HA!

Well I am going to close this posting by wishing everyone a really nice and fun weekend. Maybe I will see some of you locals around . OH! and if you see me out taking down my lights....honk.
