Kirtis's new website

I am posting a link to the website that Kirtis has been working on for himself. It still has a few things that need to be worked on , like some spelling errors. He will be correcting those soon. It should be all correct by tomorrow. So over look the errors, and take a look at his site. He is anxious to get the word out, and to get busy. HA! He has already received a few calls today from a flyer that we had put out in town.

OK! Looking for sugestions!

Steve and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding aniversary on Sept 5, 2006. We are wanting to go some where, for 1 or 2 nights. We do not want to go a long driving distance or anything, like not over 4 hours drive. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thought some of you might know of a nice place to stay and of course some where that we can go and have a good meal. I will be waiting to hear from some of you.

Somthing to watch!

A friend sent this to me, quite amazing . Make sure you have your speakers turned on.

Paula's Day! Aug 23, 2006

Hello Everyone,
Well today has been one of those days, I just do not feel like doing much, thank goodness that I am caught up at work, it just seems like I cant get going.
I awoke at 6:30 this morning, and took my shower and dressed. I did my same routine of putting on my make-up, fixing my hair.....at least tried, it was being a little stuborn this morning.
Then it was off to Ashely's room to wake her up for school, while she was dressing , which doesnt take her long, since she still really isnt much into fixing up, I was moving quickly all over the house trying to pick up little messes here and there, like drinking glasses left on the end tables etc. There are some people coming to look at the house tonight at 6:00, this is their second visit. I get home about 5:30 and didnt want to have to rush to pick things up. I really think they are interested in our house, I hope things go well. I THINK! I am not overly anxious about starting the building of a new home right now . Steve is still very busy with work, 6 houses behind I beleive, which means if we have to build one, we will be working all night hours on it and STEVE will be cranky....! ha! Nothing like building a house with a builder.
Got a little side tracked there... on with my day. After droping of Ashely at my moms at 7:10, I was headed to work. I made a stop at McDonalds for a Dr Pepper and a Biscuit, I pulled over in the parking lot and ate and then it was off again. I was about 10 min early so I checked my emails, and got things together for the work day. Pretty much untill 9:30 which is the time I have to go to the post office and pick up the mail, I had not had much to do, so I managed to file my fingernails, make a few phone calls, and I also talked on yahoo messenger to Steve's cousin Sue Summers, we chatted for a short time, and then it was off to get the mail. Mail was ligjht again today, which is why I am taking out time to do some blogging. I have all the mail sorted and I opened all the mail that have payments in them, I have made my adding machine tape of the total of all checks, and now it is time to post them to the computer. But I decided that I had time to do this blogging first. Beverly , the girl that works next to me has just left to go to lunch, and since I am the only one here to answer the phone I guess I need to quit blogging for awhile and get to work. I will be back later with more on my very interesting NOT! day.

Ok, I am back. It is 2:00, I just got back from having lunch with Kirtis, we ate at Pizza Inn. He was at Dana's house using her fast internet to work on some of his things. So I just picked him up for lunch, Dana's house is only about 4 blocks from where I work.
I finished posting our largest companies payments before I went to lunch, and as soon as I got back I posted the samller company. Guess what? Now it is time to blog again. HA! I am sure that reading this long posting is getting a little boring, so I am going to get off this posting and see if I can find somthing that is a little more interesting.

Ashley, Alex, and Hope

After answering an email from Pastor Curt today, I remembered a pic that I had on my computer of Ashey and 2 of his kids, so I decided to post it. It was taken last year at Easter. I think there are a few more pic's of his family around the Dec or Jan archives.

Kirtis's Room

Kirtis has been buying and selling posters on Ebay latley. He gets posters of movies that her really likes, some of them go on the Wall in his bedroom, and soem go back up for sale on Ebay, to make profit on. Alot of them are vinyl posters, that they put up in the theaters. Here are just a few of his collection.

FUN AND SUN IN THE BACKYARD!

After arriving home on Monday from our camping trip, we had been busy getting all of our stuff put away, of course that just included me , Ashley and her friend Charlie, Steve and Jessee went fishing when we got home.HA!
Anyway, it was nice and warm outside, matter of fact it was very hot, so we put us up a slip and slide , and put it up in our back yard, we had a nice and cool afternoon , it was lots of fun.

Steve's New Truck

Steve recently bought him a new truk, it is a King Ranch 4 door. The color is Chestnut. He needed one so that he could pull his tractor and trailor better (so he says). I took a picture of it while it was parked at the camp site. Its a real nice truck, oh and it is a diesel, which he really likes, I think they are a little loud, but maybe not quite as loud as they used to be. We got about 15 mile to the gallon on our trip pulling our camper.

Pictures from our Camping Trip

We had a real nice time on our camping trip, the weather was great! Hot enough for the water to feel wonderful, but not to hot to breath! HA!
First picture , Steve is taking a snack break....one of many.
Secon picture, Kirtis decided to come and visit us for one day, and after us wearing him out from and all day swim, he had just waken up from a nap in our very cool camper.........it is hard to sit outside when it feels so nice in the camper.
Third Picture, Judy and myself are getting ready to float down a small rapid, where the kids like to play, but we thought we would give it a try. HA! It was fun.
Fourth Picture, Steve and Terry are pealing tomato's for supper. We had we had 3 whole smoked chickens, and a package of smoked chicken legs , along with corn, macroni and cheese, and a couple of deserts.
Fifth picture, is of Ashley and her friend Charlie , they were out in front of the nature center at the park.
Last picture is of Brian. Steve, Judy, and Jesse watching the rest of us swim.

Last Camping Trip

Well we are off to our last camping trip this year. We will be going to SAM A. BAKER again. We will leave this afternoon around 4:00 and return on Monday. SO I will not be blogging untill Tuesday. I hope the rain hold off for us, I beleive it is suppose to rain on Monday, which will give us a couple of good days. We are going with the friends , Jesse and Judy Jackson, and Terry and Melissa Ellis. Ashley is taking her friend Charlie with her, they are looking forward to swimming and bike riding.

Kirtis will be staying home taking care of the goats, and cows. Boy does he love that! HA! He has gotten a few calls this week on his new at home business that I had posted about earlier, and he will be working on that.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend, and will be back at blogging on Tuesday of next week.

Happy Birthday Hazel!

HOME STEVE IS BUILDING

This is a house that Steve is building here in Paragould, it has over 4,000 sq ft.
I took a few shots of it when I went with Steve last weekend to figure some trim work in it.

Pictures of Steve's Fancy Work!

These pictures were taken in the home of Harold and Mozell Dortch, (Mozell is my dad's cousin.) Steve built there home, and he made some really nice trim and fire place work for her, so I thought I would post a few pic's .
Mozell has a beautiful home, it is meticulous.

Kirtis has a new side Job!

Thought I would make a post about Kirtis and his new side job. He had thought about doing this several months ago, but was really to busy with work and all. He is not working for Steve any more and is looking for a job that he would enjoy more, and one that doesn't include being in high places. So while he is waiting and searching for that job, he decided to go ahead and advertise some for what he will call his side job. Below is his ad in the local paper. I didnt add Kirtis phone #s like in the add, but if any of you are interested you can send him an email at kirtis@bscn.com,

LET ME TRANSFER YOUR PRICELESS FAMILY VIDEO TAPES TO DVDS

DVDS are awesome compared to video tapes!!! DVDS not only stay crystal clear, they also will last a lifetime. VIDEO TAPES can go bad after a few years and you get a scrambled picture. Another plus for DVDS is that they take up much less storage space.

Pictures from McLeskey Reunion in Michigan

I received some pic's from Sue May ( aunt Juanita's daughter) this morning, they were in a yahoo photo album, I selected a few to put on my blog. I am sure most of you (cousins) who have email address have already seen them , they were all very good pictures. I sure wish we could have been there, looks like you all had a good time .

Kirtis and Friends at the Lake

Kirtis and some of his friends went to Lake Norfork this weekend. He said they had a good time, but that the water was a little warm, but still felt nice.

More pic's of our cows.

The cows are doing great. They anxiously await our arrival every afternoon around 5:30 to 6:00 looking for feed and water. They are bigger drinkers then our goats. Boy they slirp the water in large amounts. HA! Ashley little red Heifer is warming up to us litlle by little, she is not a tame as the older cows. I took better pictures of them yesterday so I am posting them here and giving you the names to each.

Top pic is Steve's moms cow, I think she named her Flossie.

2nd is our little bull, BULLWINKLE.

3rd is Annabelle

4th is Ashley's little Heifer Strawberry

5th is Sadie, she is boss of the herd.

Dana wins 2nd in Karokee Contest!

Well the big night if over, and Dana came home with a 2nd place win. Compitition was tough. There were 14 in the finals, her first song was "Chain of Fools", they picked 7 out of the 14, and she made it.......whew! it was a tough one. Second round they picked 4, she sang "It Hurts so Bad" what a fantastic job she did on that one, so we made it to the last round, all 4 sang 1 song, and Dana sang "Independence Day"..........a male singer one 1st, and Dana 2nd, it was a fun evening, and very tense all the way through. 2nd place was 1600.00. Not quit what 6,000 would have been, but hey! Id take it.
Sure wish Cuz Steve in Michigan could have been there, he would have loved it.
VERY EXCITING!

Way to go DANA . I am very proud of you.
Love ya,
