Ashley making her pumpkin

Beleive it or not, Ashley's favorite part of making a pumpkin is cleaning it out. HA! I always hated that part. she usually has me do the carving.

My Grandparents

Arthur and Emma Tritch, This is my grandparents from my moms side.
Elzo and Erie Green, from my dads side.
I was 3 months old when grandpa Tritch passed away, and 7 when grandma Tritch passed. I do remember things about grandma, she was very kind, and she often tried to teach me the abc, in German. I loved playing at her house, she had those neat Mimosa trees, and I would strip the little leaves from the branches and mix them with wather and pretend to cook with them. Another memory I have is that she always had Velveta cheese in the fridge, but I also remember her being very stingy with it. HA! But I always got at least one piece. She alos had a little bell back by the back door, and I liked to get it down and play with it.
Wish that I had known them for longer. I miss them.
Of course I spent lots of time with my other grandparents, since I had them around for many more years in my life. I spent the night with them alot, my grandma taught me how to cook, and we had lots of fun together. Both of them used to play Mother May I with me, in the yard all the time, or in the house if it was raining. I used to help grandpa in the garden, and out in the yard. I was kind of mischevious , he should have spanked me several times....HA! but of course grandma was there to protect me. He was a very gentle man. Way to many memories to share. I miss them very much.

St. John's Cemetery

Over on the right of my blog, I have posted a link to the St. John's Cemetery. I found it while surfing around on the net today. I posted it on the side bar, not as a posting so that it would stay there and be easier to find for those of you who want to read it .

Uncle Leo's Auction

Leo Tritch.............1925----2000

Married Marjorie Ward 1949

3 children ....Norma, Dennis and Gail.

Aunt Marjorie had a Aution at her moms home there in Lafe, on Saturday October 21, 2006.

They had a good turn out, and it was a nice day for the sale. My cousin Junior Lange did the Auction. I bought a few bargins myself. I was glad to get some really nice sheets and blankets , they will be going to the cabin to put on our 2 sets of full beds, with double twin on top. Six sets of nice sheets would have been expensive at Wall Mart, I was glad to get them. I took a few snap shots while I was there. Uncle Leo had lots of antiques out in the barn, I think Aunt Marjorie was suprised how much some of it sold for.

We were all taking a break, as the sale moved from the outside to the inside , to sell furniture.

SAM THE HAM!

This is Sam Freeman, son of Jaime and Shannon Freeman. Jaime's mom Rita Smalling is my cousin, and Jamie's dad Tom Smalling works with me. Tommy brought these pictures of Sam to work this morning. I thought I would share a few of them with you. I suuppose that Sam was getting an eye exam, and then got to try on all kinds of glasses. HA! He is such a cute boy, and he is so entertaining. Sam has a sister named Maggie. I will try and get a picture of her also to add to my blog.

I SURE DIDN''T WANT TO GET UP THIS MORNING!

Good Morning Everyone! I Hope everyone's day is getting off to a good start. I guess mine is ok, but I sure didn't want to get up this morning. I dont have to be at work untill 8:00, but I have to have Ashely at moms by 7:25 to catch the bus. (I got up at 6:55) so I got around pretty quickly. Ashley hates to get up late, because she hates to be rushed. She gets up really good, I only have to tell her one time that it is time to get up. But she likes to do a few extra things before jumping in the car.

I am working on new applications this morning, and then it will be off to get the mail. There was a lot of mail yesterday, I dont expect as much today.

Well, I put my flip flops and sandles up for the year, or at least I am not wearing them to work anymore, (I really like my flip flops ) my feet are uncomfortable this morning, and will be for a few days untill I get use to having shoes on. HA!

I guess I need to go, only 5 apps to do, and I have only done one.......blogging is just more fun.

RACE FOR THE CURE

Steve's Aunt Mary, and cousins Terry Lynn and Sue went to Little Rock on Saturday Oct 7th, 2006 to walk in the Race For The Cure. It started at 8.00 am , Sue said that they arrived around 6:45 so that they could sign up for the prizes at the booths that were there, Sue said there were thousand of poeple there, and that they had a good time. They finsihed the race around 9:30 having walked 3 miles.

They then waited 45 min in line to eat at the I Hop. Then it was time to head back to Jonesboro. Seems that walking 3 miles wasnt enought exercise for Aunt Mary, so they did some shpping at Lowe's , Kohl's, and of course Wallmart.

Thought you all would enjoy the pictures that she sent to me.

Lafe City Wide Yard Sale

Lafe had its city wide yard sale this past weekend. My mom had one in her yard, and my sister and I brought some things up to add to hers. Poor mom, we left her with all the work and we went to the yard sales. I spent all my money that I made by buying other stuff. HA!

My dad and Ashely sold grilled hotdogs, and grilled barbequed boolgna, and also fresh squeezed lemonade. Kirtis took a few pictures of us sitting around the sale.

Kirtis , Brittany, Crystal and Jessica

Kirtis and his friends took some snapshots this weekend. I thought I would post a few of them.

I think they had their own photo shoot.
