Our Prize winning Boer Buck!

Some of my cousins that were down for dads reunion this weekend, came over and looked at our goats. It reminded me that I had not added a picture of our goats yet on my blog. This is our Buck , he won 4th place in a show that was at Piggott , Ar in March of this year. He was the youngest in his weight group, so 4th place was good. It was our first show, we enjoyed it, and plan on maybe going to some more later on.

SNAP SHOTS FROM HOME

Top picture is of Ashely and her friend Katie Retherford. Katie came and spent the night last Thrusday and they carved pumpkins, they had lots of fun. 2nd pic is of Ashley getting ready for school on Wednesday, it was crazy hair, crazy tie and crazy sock day.

TRUNK OR TREAT

We had Trunk or Treat at our church last night, it all went really good. At 5 we made mask for the kids, then they all came by our cars that were lined up for treats. Then it was off on a hay ride . We returned around 7 for hotdogs, dip and chili. Afterwards we had a fire out back and made somores, and rosted marshmellows. Tessa Brasher had bible lesson around the fire about the light of Jesus shinning through. We also sang some songs around the campfire.
I posted a few pictures that were taken of some cars and trucks decorated for the event and also of a few kids that I got snap shots of.

My DAD"S Family Reunion

The reunion was held at the New Community here in Paragould. We had lots of GREAT food, and we all enjoyed visiting with each other and sharing old stories. My sister Dana, and Uncle Willie J, played the guitar and Banjo and sang a few songs. We had lots of old pictures to look at and Dennis Smelser made a really nice CD slide show for us all to watch through out the day. There were door prizes , some that were mistery gifts and others that were donated by Linda Hoppe from the shop that she and Tammy Taylor run together. The name of their shop is Helen Marie's named after their mothers, if you get a chance you should stop in their store it is really nice. I added these pictures in a small format, just double click on the picture to enlarge it.

Ashley and Charlie Playing on the Hay Bales

We got 35 round bales out of out hay this time. Ashley and her friend Charlie decided to climb around on them Saturday, and Dottie thought it looked like fun too.

Ashley and her high-lights

After putting highlights in Kirtis's hair for the second time (weren't blond enough the first time), Ashely decided she needed some too. The highlights didnt show up on hers very well, because the left over mixture from Kirtis's kit had already been sitting for about an hour. She says she doesnt want to use the cap next time because it hurts. It was a little more difficult for her hair, because it was so much longer. Take a look at the picture after we got the cap off, it was so tangley. Her hair rats up so easlily.

Dottie's pups at 5 weeks....

THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOO CUTE!

Learned somthing new about blogging...

I accidentally doubled clicked on one of the pictures on my blog, and realized that it would make it a bigger picture. I do that in lots of places, but I didnt realize that you could do it on the bogs.
HA! Always learning somthing.

Thank You Ann......

I just wanted to thank Steve's cousin Ann for sending Kirtis the video program that Kirtis is using to put all of our photo's on DVD's. Ann is in the family picture to the left, she is the one on the far right. This picture was taken at the McLeskey family reunion 2005. Ann made a DVD for the sisters and brothers of the family, it was great, she composed it of video that was taken that day, and also at the end, it had some photo's that had been taken during days following up to the reunion. so Kirtis wanted me to ask her what program she used, and she was kind enough to mail it to him, he is having lots of fun using it , and is learning more and more about it. Ann lives in Texas and has been dealing with all the hurricane stuff, she was in the middle of getting out of her apartment when I called her about getting the program, I am pretty sure that she didn not receive much damage to her apartment, and that she is back living there. If I am incorrect on this Ann please correct me. We are just glad that you didnt get hurt . If you have any pictures of the damage around your area, please email them to me, and if you would like I can post them on my blog. Thanks again for the program.

Some scanned family pictures...

We have been scanning lots of old pictures, me and Kirtis that is, because he is taking all of our pictures in our albums and putting them on DVD'S. I took pictures of some of the pictures, to see how that would work, so I thought I would post this one. I guess Kirtis is right, it is better to scan them one at a time, I was just trying to save him some time.

Good Times for Kirtis!

These pictures were taken on Spirit week during Kirtis's senior year. It was such a good year for him, he had lots of fun and made some really good memories.

He is dressed of course like OZZY! The girl in the picture with him, is Tyco, who was an exchange student from Japan.

Steve and his 8 point

I thought I better post this picture for Steve. This will put a start on filling our freezer back up.

THANKS JOEL CLARK, FOR SENDING ME THIS PICTURE.

Joel came home a day before Steve so I actually got this picture before Steve even saw it.

On a more personal note....

Most of my blog entries so far have been pictuers with explainations, and fun stuff. Today I thought I would post a blog that is on more of a personal note. I am not a good writer, but I am going to give it a try.
I am in a good mood today, even though I didn't get alot of sleep last night. I was up and down checking on my dog Sammie, she is going to have pups any day now. I kept hearing little sounds last night that sounded like puppy noises, but when I would get up and check she would be just fine. Noises coming from the gravel road behind us were bothering me also. I just seemed to be real restless. Steve has been gone on a hunting trip since last Friday, so I have been staying up late, so that I could go to sleep faster, and not hear all those nooises. Steve will be home today around 2:00, although I enjoy the vacation that he takes, because it gives me a vacation too, I am ready and anxious for him to come home. I bought him a gift while he was gone, and set it up in the yard last night, so that he would see it when he pulled in the driveway today. (he better see it) or my mood may change. HA! Sandra Stephens went up to Fayetteville this past weekend, and I had her looking for a yard decoration that is made of nylon material, it in the shape of a John Deer Tractor and has wheels that spin when the wind hits them. I had seen a few in a couple of yards around here, but could never find out where they got them. Sandra found one for me, and it is up in the yard ready to do its stuff.
Since last night was the last night for me and the kids to do what we wanted and watch what we wanted on T.V. we made good use of that time by watching parts of movies and at a really high volume on Kirtis's new amp, that arrived just days after steve left. It is very powerful and certanily holds your attention, just like being at the movies, and of course we watched the movies on Kirtis projector. After listening to several trailors of movies last night, we decided to put highlights in Kirtis's hair. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! We had the little cap that you wear and everything, he kept telling me I was pokiing holes in his head with the little stick. It took me quite awhile , my arms were tired afterwards. But we got the job done, and the highlights look good. Ashley took several snap shots, If I am brave enough I may attach a picture. I dont want to make Kirtis mad at me.
It is very slow at work today, it will be a long day. Ashley has soccer practice after work, so I will have to wait untill later to see Steve, unless I can talk him into meeting me here for Ashley's practice. He killed a 8 point on the 2nd day there, and I know that he has to clean it and put it up in the freezer, plus un pack all of his stuff, and of course leave me lots and lots of dirty camo to wash. It is always amazing how independant they are at deer camp, you know, cooking all those good meals, and making sure they have a good clean camp , cleaning all their dishes so they will be clean for the next meal, but boy when they get home, they need all kinds of help getting it all put away. ( cant even make their own bologna sandwich for lunch) HA!
Well, I need to go and get the mail over at the post office, maybe that will create somthing for me to do for an hour of so here at work. Then it will be time for lunch, not sure what I will do during that time, I am sure that Wall Mart will have somthing that I need. Oh and maybe Goody's is having a sale. I might even have time to grab a quick bite to eat somewhere, but only of time allows after all the other important things.

HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!

How to post a comment.

I have been advised that some of you are not sure how to post your comments. I am going to try and explain, I do much better explaining by talking than I do typing, but I will give it a try.

Click on comments under the post that you want to comment on.
Type in your comment in the comment box.
If you want to be Anonymous you may put a check there.
Or.....check other and it will have a place for your name, and your webpage ,if you have on. you do not have to put in a web page for it to work.
If you are a blogger and you have a name and password then you can check the blogger circle, it will automatically add your user name and your picture top your comment.(if you have one on your blogs profile. )

I PREFER YOU TO USE OTHER<> That way I know who posted the comment.

At the end of that there is a box that you have to type in exactly what they have typed in , it is usually some letters and numbers. Then click publish your comment.

GOOD LUCK
P.S. I love to get comments.

SOME MORE SNAP SHOTS!

Doris Shelton (Lange) and Sandra Stephens. This was taken while we were at a youth gathering. I beleive it was taken on the bunk bed in the dorm we stayed in.

Brenda Tritch, Jacque Cole (Tritch),Donna Tritch, and Kerry Reddick (Tritch). This was taken a few years ago at the Trich Reunion.

Lets see, This picture was taken at one of your school picnics, and my mom took this picture, it was a group of mothers, and a couple of teachers also.
Lorene Stephens, Rachel Barner, one in red shoes , I think is Roxie Ellis, the teachers are Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Stallcup. I know the lady in the brown pants, but I cant place her name, can anyone help me out.

This post is dedicated to BABS and DEBBIE MCGARRAUGH

These pictures are of my cousins BABS AND DEBBIE MCGARRAUGH. While searching in my moms photo albums, I kept running on to pictures of the girls. So I decided to just do a whole post of their pictures. I love the one in the old wash tub. I beleive that is uncle Bruce in the picture with Babs, and I think it was taken at mommie and poppy's house here in Paragould, which would have been Babs and Debbie's grandparents. OK BABS, HTIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO LEAVE A COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!! Just click under the end of the pictures on comments.

HOME WORK TIME!

Last night after Soccer practice it was time for last minute homework in MATH! You can tell that Steve is having to really concentrate to help her (notice the little head rub there). Better him than me, HA! It took them about 45 min. Then we finally got to watch Monsters Inc. . Ashley didnt get to finish the movie , she had to go to bed, so I guess we will have to suffer through the end of it tonight. That is if homework permits us to.
