On a more personal note....

Most of my blog entries so far have been pictuers with explainations, and fun stuff. Today I thought I would post a blog that is on more of a personal note. I am not a good writer, but I am going to give it a try.
I am in a good mood today, even though I didn't get alot of sleep last night. I was up and down checking on my dog Sammie, she is going to have pups any day now. I kept hearing little sounds last night that sounded like puppy noises, but when I would get up and check she would be just fine. Noises coming from the gravel road behind us were bothering me also. I just seemed to be real restless. Steve has been gone on a hunting trip since last Friday, so I have been staying up late, so that I could go to sleep faster, and not hear all those nooises. Steve will be home today around 2:00, although I enjoy the vacation that he takes, because it gives me a vacation too, I am ready and anxious for him to come home. I bought him a gift while he was gone, and set it up in the yard last night, so that he would see it when he pulled in the driveway today. (he better see it) or my mood may change. HA! Sandra Stephens went up to Fayetteville this past weekend, and I had her looking for a yard decoration that is made of nylon material, it in the shape of a John Deer Tractor and has wheels that spin when the wind hits them. I had seen a few in a couple of yards around here, but could never find out where they got them. Sandra found one for me, and it is up in the yard ready to do its stuff.
Since last night was the last night for me and the kids to do what we wanted and watch what we wanted on T.V. we made good use of that time by watching parts of movies and at a really high volume on Kirtis's new amp, that arrived just days after steve left. It is very powerful and certanily holds your attention, just like being at the movies, and of course we watched the movies on Kirtis projector. After listening to several trailors of movies last night, we decided to put highlights in Kirtis's hair. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! We had the little cap that you wear and everything, he kept telling me I was pokiing holes in his head with the little stick. It took me quite awhile , my arms were tired afterwards. But we got the job done, and the highlights look good. Ashley took several snap shots, If I am brave enough I may attach a picture. I dont want to make Kirtis mad at me.
It is very slow at work today, it will be a long day. Ashley has soccer practice after work, so I will have to wait untill later to see Steve, unless I can talk him into meeting me here for Ashley's practice. He killed a 8 point on the 2nd day there, and I know that he has to clean it and put it up in the freezer, plus un pack all of his stuff, and of course leave me lots and lots of dirty camo to wash. It is always amazing how independant they are at deer camp, you know, cooking all those good meals, and making sure they have a good clean camp , cleaning all their dishes so they will be clean for the next meal, but boy when they get home, they need all kinds of help getting it all put away. ( cant even make their own bologna sandwich for lunch) HA!
Well, I need to go and get the mail over at the post office, maybe that will create somthing for me to do for an hour of so here at work. Then it will be time for lunch, not sure what I will do during that time, I am sure that Wall Mart will have somthing that I need. Oh and maybe Goody's is having a sale. I might even have time to grab a quick bite to eat somewhere, but only of time allows after all the other important things.

HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Paula, I loved the latest pics of Kirtis. Nadine and Jimmie look so young in their wedding pictures. And so do you and Steve. Love Babs

Susie Says...

Paula, I just loved the little story of your 'vacation' while Steve was hunting. Ha! It truly sounds just like many I've heard from other wives through the years, including myself long ago when married to Randy. (Jamie & Brian's Dad).

Anyway, yes it does seem that men are so independent when they wish to be and totally helpless all the rest of the time, which is when they 'WANT' to be! Ha! It's a guy thing! They have to seem handy & be a 'man's man' around the other guys, but at home he can look to you!

Hey, I've been there, done that, & now I am doing it all over again! Trust me, I do understand you so completely!! :-) Doug deer hunts and likes it, but he isn't as into it as some men are. Some men make it a life or death thing, more important than anything else! Ya know?

I am sure you missed Steve, but I am positive that you did enjoy your free time also! Right? It's always nice to have free time to do 'YOUR' thing too. I totally have to have my own free time or Susie is sort of grumpy! LOL!
