My Roses

I was outside the other day, and it was such a nice day. I decided to take a few snap shots of my roses. The pink roses need to be cut back really bad, they are growing so tall, they run up the side of Steve's shop building. I snapped a shot of the walking stick that was crawling around on one of the bushes, I think they are creepy looking, but interesting.

Sue's Kids

I have been talking to Aunt Mary's daughter Sue quite a bit on yahoo messenger, and she shared this picture of her kids with me. Ashley, Jackie, and Stephanie.
I enjoy chatting with her on and off during the day. Sue came to see my sister sing at the District fair in Jonesboro. I thought it was very nice of her to come. I think she enjoyed the show.

Steve has been making Chairs for the cabin.

Steve used cypress to put on the outside of the cabin. He had some left over, so he decided to make us some chairs to put out on the front porch at the cabin. I took these pictures last night, they are still sitting in the garage, because he hasn't put the stain on them yet. I love them, they are very comfortable. He is making me a porch swing for the cabin too. He cut out all the boards yesterday and will start on building it today.

Finding old pictrures

I am finding lots of old pictures today. I was 8 1/2 months with Kirtis, and Steve and I went fishing in the pound behind our house, I caught this bass, and Steve was all the way on the other side of the pound, it was all I could do to get it pulled in before it pulled me in. I remember that day very clear, it was lots of fun. I also remember what a rough ride it was on the 3 wheeler getting out there. HA!

The other picture is of Steve and his friend Jesse, they used to do a lot of trot lineing. We were always having Catfish for supper.

Kirtis when he was a little boy!

I found these pictures of Kirtis when he was younger. He is at Branson wtih the youth group in the Saloon shot, and the other was taken when he was in kindergarten during dress up day. Kirtis is on the far right.

Labor Day!

Well I hope everyone had a good Labor Day. I took Ashley and one of her friends to the Greene County Fair here in Paragould. It was armband day, so they road rides from 12 noon untill about 4:00. Kirtis went with us, so he and I spent alot of the day in the entertainment building listening to different bands and singers perform. Of course we made our rounds through the buildings signing up at all the booths, in hope to win a BIG prize. (no calls yet). Then there is the animal barn, they had lots of goats, pigs, cows and etc.

We left the fair around 4:00, because at 5:00 Steve and I were having friends over for a cookout. We had babyback ribs, grilled chicken , and hotdogs for the kids. Along with that we had potato salad, macroni salad, Green Beans, and homemade baked beans. Jesse's wife Judy made a yellow cake mix, with German Chocolate Icing for desert. We had a good time.

Afer the cookout we all gathered in the house to watch a DVD slideshow that Kirtis and I made of all our camping trips through the years. It had all of our kids on it, from when they very young. It was lots of fun to watch.
I also added a portion at the end of Steve , Jesse, and Terry'shunting pictures, they seem to have enjoyed that most of all. You know how it is , they can talk about deer they killed 20 years ago, like it was yesterday. HA!

I hope you all had a GREAT DAY TOO.
